Holiday Message from Colleen Loveless, President & CEO

We have so very much to be grateful and thankful for this year. Because of your generous support we were able to meaningfully give back to our neighbors in need.

This year we brought #GreenNFit back to Springfield and Holyoke with over 120 sponsors and 1,500 volunteers. We'd like to thank Coach Emery and the WNEU football team who worked on two homes to kick off the season. We'd liked to thank Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA who worked on the home of a disabled Vietnam Veteran.

This year we kicked off the Healthy Homes pilot program with Baystate Health to conduct Health Homes Assessments to complete interventions that reduce or eliminate asthma triggers in the home.  In the calendar year we have completed a total of 14 assessments throughout Western MA.

All together in 2017 we revitalized 41 homes, 1 city park, 1 middle school for at-risk students, 7 vacant lots and open spaces and made improvements to a community garden. We could not have done any of this without YOU.

In the words of Ethel Griffin, "we aren't put on earth to stay here forever, but we are put on earth to help each other".

From all of us at Revitalize CDC we wish you joy and peace at the holidays and throughout the New Year.

Colleen Loveless, President & CEO, Revitalize CDC
